TADMI is named after the founder because, Daniel Affum-Darkwah believes in his Vision, Dream, Legacy, and Impact of change he is confident of leaving behind for generations to follow. He believes that “Progress is a Process” and as TADMI takes this journey to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, you will come on board to contribute your quota to this vision. Great trees take time to grow as Great ideas take time to show.
This world is not our final destination in life. We are all passing through to an eternal destiny. Daniel wants to INSPIRE people and leave a LEGACY behind. So that, one day (50 or more years from now) someone will say …TADMI, put my dad/mom in school and through that I am now a DOCTOR, LAWYER or who I am today.
Mr. Daniel Affum-Darkwah travelled from his native country Ghana to the United States and has been there for over fifteen years. His regular visits to Ghana made him realize the challenges his people faced as a nation. The slow rate of national development, bad road conditions, deterioration of schools and hospitals, lack of maintenance culture and a myriad of problems was brought to the fore. For Example, a simple 20 minutes journey can take two or more hours because of traffic and road condition. Corruption is on the increase and everybody; teachers, police officers, public servants, bank tellers, post office workers, drivers, you name it, want a little “token” or bribe, before you are provided with the quality goods and services you need or fast-track your request. (If you do not pay, your precious time will be wasted)
The future of Ghana and any other developing country are the children. If we are able to educate more children and teach them the way to go today, they will not depart from it when they grow. Teenagers are giving birth at a very high rate with no plans to care and provide for the child, so they end up in an orphanage homes. The Orphanage homes, swamped with children, provide little help to care for them because their parents abandoned them. Young adults and school graduates cannot find decent jobs to do and the list goes on and on.
God has given Daniel the privilege to live and work in a developed country like the USA. According to him, there are so many things people take for granted in the United States which somebody need just a bit of it to survive. So, instead of complaining and blaming the government any time he visits Africa, He wants to play his part to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of somebody, one at a time.
